The KELY Support Group (KELY) is a non-profit, bilingual organization founded by a youth in 1991 with a mission to empower young people through a PEER SUPPORT approach. Our goal is to facilitate the development of youth to help them realize their full potential. We are currently seeking to recruit an energetic, dynamic and creative Youth Services Coordinator (Chinese-speaking Team), for the development and implementation of our various youth initiatives. The successful Candidate should possess the following criteria:

Youth Services Coordinator (Chinese-speaking Team)

  • Previous experience working with youths in developing workshops, community-based initiatives, programmes and services.
  • Higher diploma or above in social work / education / sociology / social sciences / community development, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in providing supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to Chinese-speaking youth issues.
  • Ability to write proposals, develop budgets and liaise with funders.
  • Strong critical analysis, problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Cantonese and English.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Ability to exercise maturity and de-escalate crisis situations.
  • Can think strategically and collaborate with senior management to achieve organizational goals.
  • Can take initiative, think outside of the box and inspire others.
  • Flexible in approach and willing to occasionally provide outreach to youths.

The Candidate should also have good knowledge of existing youth services and programmes, a working knowledge of the Hong Kong judicial system as it pertains to youth, as well as the ability to build working relationships with businesses, government agencies and Chinese-speaking schools. He/She should also be self-reliant, resourceful and be able to write proposals.
